November Challenge Winners and Christmas Colour Challenge Week 1

Sorry I am behind with the challenge posts - with my health issues and the extra work planning a move involves the "non-essential" business items have to slide and the challenge I am afraid falls into that category.   We'll start with the new challenge now and you can read on to the bottom of the post to find out the winners from October's sketch challenge.

This month we have a combined theme and colour challenge for you in what will be the last challenge of the year as we take December off challenges to give the DT a break in the busy run up to Christmas.   The theme therefore is to create something on a Christmas theme using one of the 3 colour options below (pinks and grey/silvers - traditional reds/green/kraft - silvers and golds or as there was some confusion on this image with the DT blues/greys/browns)  The challenge will run for a full month and will close at 10pm on Sunday 3rd December.

Here are a couple of options from Jenny and I to kick you off.

Jenny
I've used Flora & Fauna's Holidays Watercolour stamps and a sentiment from Neat & Tangled's Scandinavian Prints Christmas set to make a card using the gorgeous colours in the third palette :)

Tara
I've picked the first option using two shades of pink on the stockings in Newton's Nook Stylish Stockings with a silver sentiment cut using Little Lowercase Letters from MFT

Add your link on the challenge page when you're ready.

Now to our winners from October's sketch challenge.

Our prize winner this month is Claire R - we adored her wonderful Llama scene and the sun rays behind the dessert hill really made it pop out in the gallery.  Congrats Claire!  Drop me an email via the store and I'll arrange your voucher.

Now for our runners up this month - we loved Sofia's little monkey walking along the sentiment to the moon - such a great sky background too!

Nicole's card stood out as she had a really great interpretation of the circle in the sketch with her stamped cluster of trees - really creative and super effective to boot!

We also loved Jenni M's traditional take on Christmas - adding the sentiment through the wreath was a great idea and is really effective!
